World of Tanks Blitz – Coming to a Mobile Device Near You

WoT_Blitz_Logo_Motto_ENGI’m not much of a Tanker – in fact, I really suck at the game, but that doesn’t mean I don’t give it my best (which is probably a lot of Tanker’s worst efforts). But I do enjoy a game that requires tactical planning and allows me to blow sh*t up on a regular basis. Besides, what’s more fun than blowing things up with tanks?

Soon it will be even easier to blow things up with tanks. After a successful run in European countries – and averaging 4.5 to 4.8 stars in the app store – World of Tanks Blitz will be making its way to the United States mobile market, starting with iOS platforms, June 26.

World of Tanks Blitz is a mobile, free-to-play team-based MMO action game dedicated to fierce tank combat. Available on iPhones version 4 and higher and iPad 2 and up, the game takes the best traits from the PC game and puts a mobile twist on dynamic combat. With 90 legendary armored vehicles to chose from and control with your thumb, it provides fast-paced gameplay and tactical diversity.

WoT_Blitz_Tech_Tree_USA_ComThe European trial demonstrated that World of Tanks Blitz isn’t just a casual social game, but a full-fledged game with players spending and average of 70 minutes playing the game.

Wargaming created not only a customized UI for phone and tablet players, but also an easier to use, smaller tech tree. When the game launches in the U.S., it will have an additional set of features, including full social integration with Facebook where you can invite friends to play.

The platform also integrates with the Wargaming’s Social Network and tracks achievements across the board, whether you’re playing on tablet, PC or Xbox. Wargaming is also working on streaming integration to allow people to stream and capture gameplay from their devices. While you can log in to the game using the same Wargaming account as your PC or Xbox accounts, your tanks and gold are separate from both Xbox and the PC versions.

WOT-iPad-Picture-Grace-SnokeWorld of Tanks Blitz will be playable on a wide range of Android devices as well in the future.

If you enjoy World of Tanks on your PC and have a mobile device, you may want to check it out and level up your gold and tanks for mobile as well, that way you can play on the go when you are without your PC. It will take a little adjustment from playing with PC controls, but I do think most gamers will be pleased with how it handles if they have a good internet connection.

So if you aren’t in the mobile beta, check it out when it goes live for iOS platforms June 26.
