Setting Records Crushing Candy in Candy Crush Saga

candy-crush-sagaCandy Crush Saga has taken Facebook by storm, but it also has its fair share of players on Android and iOS devices.  So it should come as no surprise that as we had Android Devices with us at PAX Prime via the Wikipad, we decided to download the popular game and let players set inaugural world records on the game.

Three levels were set for competition, Level 6, Level 7, and Level 8.  Players had to complete the level byfaccomplishing the required goal using no boosters to achieve their score.

Matthew Cromwell set a score of 60,860 on Level 6.

Emma Ziegler set a score of 173,330 on Level 7.

Spencer Smith set a score of 40,540 on Level 8.

Congratulations to them on their achievements at PAX.

Think you can beat their scores?  Or do you want to set inaugural records for this game on other levels or other devices?  If so, check out our How to Submit scores, find the rules variations for the platform you want to record it on and submit it to us.

An Interview with Tommy Tallarico of Video Games Live

video-games-live-featureWith a little less than 48 hours remaining in the Video Games Live – Level 3 Kickstarter project, we are pleased to release our interview with Tommy Tallarico of Video Games Live that was filmed Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at PAX Prime.  For those who don’t know who Tommy is, or what Video Games Live is, Tommy explains that in the first few minutes of the video before moving on to talk about the Kickstarter project, the rewards for donating as well as some other facts that you may not know about him – Did you know he was cousins with Steven Tyler?

We do apologize for the audio quality of the video as our microphone died about a minute and a half into the interview, but we have adjusted it as best we could to make up for it.

Check out the video below.

We would also like to thank Tommy for taking time out of his busy schedule to sit down and talk with us as well as thanks to Mitchell Meerman who helped us fix the audio issues.

We hope you enjoy the video.
